Following the unhappy passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the EFL can verify that there will probably be a two-minute silence forward of all EFL fixtures going down tonight and throughout the weekend (9-10 April).
Gamers, coaches, and match officers may even be sporting armbands as a mark of respect to the late Duke.

“As a patron of over 800 organisations, his excessive regard for the encouragement of sport and welfare of young folks was unequivocal, and his loss will undoubtedly be felt not solely right here within the UK however throughout the world.
“Our collective ideas are with Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Household at this troublesome time.”
