For the first time in history, matches will also be decided by women at the Club World Cup. This was announced on Monday by the International Football Federation (FIFA), the information was brought by the DPA agency.
Seven main referees and twelve lines have been nominated for the tournament, which will take place from 1 to 11 February in Qatar. The women’s part will be represented by the main judge Edina Alvesová Batistová and the line judge Neuza Backová also from Brazil and the Argentine woman Mariana de Almeidová.
The six best teams on the continents will take part in the Club World Cup, Europe will be represented by the Bayern Munich Champions League. The German club will enter the competition from the semifinals. The host from Qatar will be represented by the al-Duhail SC club, the draw will take place on January 19 in Zurich.
