Israeli goalkeeper Ariel Harush (32) left Nitra for free in Heerenveen. He signed the contract by the end of the current season. The club of the Dutch Eredivisie informed on its channels.
Harush came to Nitra only on November 21 last year. In the last three matches of the autumn part of the Fortuna League, he replaced the team’s best player, 22-year-old goalkeeper and Slovak youth representative Dávid Šípoš, in the goal.
Harush made his debut a week after his arrival on November 28 in Ružomberok in a 0: 3 loss. Šípoš was sitting on a bench. Nitra coach Gergely Geri at the time said in the post-match press: “The choice of the goalkeeper for the match was not according to the sports criteria, but it was decided by the club owner.” Geri left the club four days later.
Ariel Harush pulled the ball from behind his back three times.
The tenant did not decide on the inclusion of the goalkeeper Ariel Harush in the Nitra team, …
Harush was already active in the Netherlands. While hosting the 2019/20 season, he caught 16 matches in Sparta Rotterdam. Heerenveen CTO Gerry Hamstra described the 21-time national team as “an experienced international accustomed to Dutch football.”
He added that if the health tests turn out well, he could be nominated for Sunday’s duel against Fortune Sittard, in which the Slovak defender Branislav Niňaj also works. Heerenveen is eighth after 14 rounds, losing four points to the chance to fight for the European Cups.
Dávid Šípoš should return to the goal of Nitra in the spring. Most of the autumn was the support of the team and he was one of the best goalkeepers of the competition. He has not yet agreed with the club to extend the contract, which caused the loss of space between the three poles. His contract expires at the end of the current year.
Nine players ended in Nitra at the turn of the year: Oliver Podhorin, Michal Faško, Nikola Gatarič, Matúš Kuník, Daniel Magda, Timotej Záhumenský, Samuel Šefčík, Matteo Olivero and Daniel Jesus. Coach Ivan Galád was replaced by Michal Ščasný, a German investor represented by Peter Hammer and Nik Schwarz joined the club.
