Czech coach Jiří Jarošík will lead the football players of the Slovenian champion NK Celje. For a hitherto successful player, this will be the first foreign engagement.
So far, Jarošík has led FK Ústí nad Labem and, during his premiere coaching engagement, surprisingly led the Czech second league player to 3rd place after the autumn part. Severočechov trained for half a year.
The forty-three-year-old former defender, or defensive midfielder, won the championship as a player in four different countries. He triumphed in the jerseys of Sparta Prague, Chelsea London, Celtic Glasgow and CSKA Moscow. He started his coaching career in the junior of Sparta Prague, then worked as an assistant to David Holoubek in Liberec and Ružomberok.
