Keane slam Salah in ‘surprising’ moment for Liverpool ‘shadow’

Roy Keane described the defense within the run-up to Fulham’s opener at Anfield as being “surprising” from Liverpool, which is “a shadow of themselves”.

Andy Robertson’s header from Ivan Cavaleiro’s free-kick landed on the feet of Mo Salah on the sting of the field, earlier than Egypt was taken over by Mario Lemina, who hit the ball properly to the far corner.

And Keane was critical of Salah and Robertson.

Keane said: “Beautiful from a Liverpool perspective. I believe Robertson has to do higher. Salah – Okay, it isn’t considered one of his strengths – replaced.

“They’re [Fulham] well deserved, great strike, but it surely’s wonderful what has occurred to this Liverpool team, they’re a shadow of themselves.

“Salah just isn’t adequate, not sturdy sufficient, however Robertson has to do higher too – he has to have a greater header.”
