MLS preseason 2021: DC United top Loudoun United 5-1 in scrimmage

D.C. United picked up its first win of the membership’s 2021 preseason slate on Friday, taking a 5-1 consequence over USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United FC.

Ola Kamara and Frederic Brillant have been the one two goal-scorers recognized by D.C. United with Kamara bagging the opener within the nineteenth minute and Brillant including a second on the half-hour mark. DC’s different goals got here within the 72nd, 87th and ninetieth minutes, whereas Loudoun forward Kairou Amoustapha netted his membership’s solely goal of the scrimmage within the 84th minute.

Kamara’s opener noticed the veteran forward mix with teammates Julian Gressel and Yamil Asad to present his side the early lead.

D.C. rotated out a lot of its beginning lineup within the second half, as Jon Kempin, Moses Nyeman, Adrien Perez, Kimarni Smith, and Yordy Reyna all getting into the match within the sixtieth minute and closing out the competition.

It was DC’s second exhibition match under new head coach Hernan Losada after their 1-1 draw against USL League One side Greenville Triumph. They will return to motion on March 31 with a scrimmage against Jap Conference foe Philadelphia Union.
