San Jose Earthquakes, Chris Wondolowski join coalition to rally engagement round Black History Month

The San Jose Earthquakes are a part of a coalition of 5 Bay Space skilled sports teams representing BAY AREA UNITE that is becoming a member of forces with the Dr. Huey P Newton Basis to rally neighborhood engagement and consciousness for Black History Month.

The Quakes can be joined by the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers, the Oakland Athletics and Oakland Roots SC for “The Black Panther Celebration Celebration of Activism” digital program that is being broadcast through Fb Stay and YouTube on Feb. 24 at 3 pm ET. The occasion will function a tribute to the “Black Panther Celebration 10 Program; What We Need, What We Consider,” particular performances and an unique look into Judas and the Black Messiah.

San Jose forward Chris Wondolowski can be slated to make a digital look. 

“The legacy of the Black Panthers and their focus on meals justice continues to encourage activism within the Bay Space,” Earthquakes director of neighborhood relations Rahul Devaskar said in a launch. “Due to the Panthers’ help of school-based vitamin packages, our membership realized concerning the significance and want in supporting young individuals in our communities by meals justice packages. Their legacy and activism have helped inform the creation of our own meals insecurity initiative — Pledge 74.”

The Dr. Huey P. Newton Basis is a Bay Space-based basis that is dedicated to preserving the history, beliefs and legacy of Newton, the founding father of the Black Panther Celebration.
