Seattle Sounders re-sign Jimmy Medranda and Stefan Cleveland

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Re-signings

The Seattle Sounders have re-signed defender Jimmy Medranda and goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland, the membership introduced Wednesday. Each players enter their second season with the membership.

“We’re happy so as to add two extra pieces to our roster forward of the 2021 season,” GM & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey said in a membership assertion. “Stefan did well as a member of our goalkeeping group last year, and we had been impressed with Jimmy after he joined us late last season. Each will present our squad with high quality depth as we head right into a new marketing campaign.”

Medranda, who turns 27 in February, arrived in a commerce from Nashville SC in October of last season. He made two regular season appearances off the bench for the Sounders. 

Previous to Nashville and Seattle, Medranda spent his first seven seasons in MLS with Sporting KC. All in all, he is made 99 appearances within the league.

Cleveland, 26, served as Stefan Frei’s backup for Seattle. He was acquired from Chicago Hearth FC earlier than the season and has a complete of 5 MLS appearances.
