The Czech football champion Slavia Prague canceled the preparatory camp in Portugal only a few hours before departure due to the high number of coronavirus infections.
“Slavia, for preventive and health reasons, is currently canceling the training camp in Portugal.
“Sunday’s tests confirmed indications of deteriorating health of a large number of A-team members during the Christmas holidays,” the official communiqué said.
According to the idnes.cz portal, the coaching staff also has problems with the coronavirus with head coach Jindřich Trpišovský and assistant Zdeněk Houštecký. Some players would also not be able to travel to the Algarve.
